Closed loop is an Abakus product that facilitates passing back daily attributed conversions and/or revenue to your technology partners. Closing the loop reduces the need for manual reporting and also ensures that all technology partners are optimising towards better results and driving their decisions based on multi-touch attribution.
Generally all closed loop feeds are uploaded daily, either to an SFTP location or via an API, depending on the vendor. The attribution figures will always match or be within a very close range to the data from the ‘’Daily’’ reports in the app, hence having ‘’daily’’ enabled is a pre-requisite for requesting a closed loop feed.
There are several types of closed loop feeds:
- Standard closed loop - used for programmatic buying platforms, such as Turn, Rocketfuel, Quantcast, etc. (please see a full list below); the data export is posted to an SFTP on daily basis and includes standard metrics, such as player (the lowest level of the taxonomy) and attributed revenue and/or conversions.
- Conversion level closed loop - used for DS, Marin & MediaMath. Similarly to a standard closed loop the attribution data (conversions and/or revenue) is uploaded daily either to an SFTP or via an API and is available for optimising your bid strategies and/or programmatic buying.
- Custom closed loop - primarily used for data warehouses and CRMs. Daily attribution data feed may include custom fields of your choice, such as an Order ID.
